Slovenia

Mobilities

The first mobility took place in Granada, Spain. On a cold november night, the Slovenian team left Ljubljana and headed towards the south of Spain. The 5 members of our team who participated on the first mobility were: the asisstant headmaster Mojca Malovrh, the coordinators of the project Katja Tomazincic and Igor Rajner and two students, Ajda Robda and Neza Novak. During the mobility we visited the partner primary school, we took a walk through the historic palace Al Alhambra, we visited the beautiful coastline and of course, we outlined the guidelines of the project.

The following 5 months passed quickly and the next mobility to Portugal was set for April 2015. This time our headmaster, Mr Marjan Potokar joined the coordinators and two students, Nusa Marincic and Nika Skoda. The whole team, even the Slovaks managed to travel to the beautiful mountain city of Seia. The cordinator and the "boss" of the project Angela greeted us as the members of her family. During our visite we visited the national park Sierra de Estrella, which is famous for the beautiful flora and fauna. We witnessed how the bread was made and baked in the old times and we even went to the bread museum, where we could learn the different words for  bread in arond 50 world languages. At the end of our visit the portuguese surprised us with the medieval dinner. We were dressed in gowns from the 18th century and ate with our hands. An unforgettable experience.

Afer a long summer it was time to get back to school and to our gardens. And of ourse, it was als the time to meet all the project partners in Turkey. The Slovenian team had only 3 members this time, the headmaster and the coordinators. After meting with the teams in Istanbul we continued our journey towards Hatay, where our partner school is situated. The turkish coordinator was happy to meet us at the airport and we delighted to have finally arrived to the beautiful city of Hatay. After visiting the school and greeting the mayor we spent some days exploring the near and far places of this amazing part of Turkey. As there were so many things to do and see, we sometimes even had  project meeting at the back of the bus. The highlight of the trip was the trip to the coast, where the bravest went for a swim. Thank you Turkey, for your hospitality and thank you for inventing baklava!
