Visit the partner country PORTUGAL was started a few days before the Easter. Since the route was challenging enough, more than once we had to cross. Some of us flew for the first time. In Portugal, we first were in the city of Coimbra, and then we moved by bus to the city Seii, where we already were expecting our partners. After staying we have received a welcome gala dinner, which consisted of spinach soups, grilled meat with mashed duck meat and rice. Although we were very tired, we've also mastered the ring national dances where we've showed by our Slovak dance ,,karicka" in national costumes, which we have brought him with you.
The next morning we were greeted by the mayor at City Hall Seii. Then we chose to visit a partner school. We spent the whole day at school, where we presented their presentations and work on the project, in the afternoon we presented a workshop production through our herb salt, which is given to the project. Teachers discussioned various activities in the project and pupils were prepared for theater performance. We ended the evening a concert, which we liked.
On Saturday we visited the local Botanical Gardens and other sights in the city of Coimbra. Was missing or visit commercial centers, where we have purchased a souvenir. The culmination of our stay was a medieval evening in medieval costumes, where we've felt very comfortable.
On Sunday morning we were moved to Lisbon, where we spy out the yellowishsightseeing´s city bus with an open roof, that we may know the sights and culture of this city. The city is very liked us. Portugal Thank you for a wonderful experience!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In February 2016 we welcomed our friends from partners schools. We prepared an interesting plan for them. On Thursday we visited secondary grammar school in our city. The lessons are taught in English and Spanish language. They got to know modern educational methods. Later they could see sights of old town – Dome St. Elizabeth, the bell, singing fountain, National Theatre, Synagoge…        In the evening we went to see opera Madam Butterfly. It was very nice.
On Friday we travelled to High Tatras. The weather was pleasant. We could see beautiful Mountains. We used cable car  to transport from Old Smokovec to Hrebienok. We walked on winter path way to Rainer Cottage. On Hrebienok  we saw extraordinary Tatra Dome, built from ice. We made a stop in Štrbské lake. Frozen but happy we came back to Košice.
On Saturday was the main programme.

Welcoming of headmasters and teachers by Mayor of Haniska in Culture House. There were another important guests. They could taste our traditional dishes. Visit of Oravec´s farm. Our school cooperates with him on the project. He spoke about modern methods of agriculture. Our pupils welcomed guests with bread and salt. They sang and danced to our folk music. Older pupils presented our achievements and goals in the project. Our friends could taste the products made in this project such as dandelion honey, elderberry  syrup, tomato – onion salad, different kinds of spreads. After that they could see our classrooms and special classrooms. We finished our day off in Museum of traditional Slovak crafts. They could eat traditional Slovak dishes there. The next day they left our country. We hope that they liked  their visit in Slovakia.
