The onions of the five countries (Turkey, Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia) were assessed by flavor, weight, diameter, juiceness, sulfur compound concentration (the concentration of smell) and pigmentation.

After the analysis and concerning the Portuguese onion and in terms of the intensity of flavor is spicy, it has 39,06gr of fluid each 100gr of an onion. The average of weight of 20 onions is 1, 983kg. After 1.08 sec the eyes start to water (10 students). The strength of the sensation (average 10 students) is: 4 – weak; 5 – medium; 1 – strong. The average diameter of 20 onions is 5.545cm.
